What is Gospel Internet Radio?

Gospel Internet radio (also known as web radio, net radio, streaming radio and e-radio) is an audio service, which specifically focuses on transmitting Gospel Music via the Internet. Music streaming on the Internet is usually referred to as webcasting since it is not transmitted broadly through wireless means.

Internet radio involves streaming media, presenting listeners with a continuous stream of audio that cannot be paused or replayed, much like traditional broadcast media; in this respect, it is distinct from on-demand file serving. Internet radio is also distinct from podcasting, which involves downloading rather than streaming. Most Internet radio services are associated with a corresponding traditional (terrestrial) radio station or radio network.

However, Internet-only radio stations, such as YLR, are independent of such associations.  Yes Lord Radio is a 24 hour, 7 days a week, Fully Gospel Internet Radio Station.
Internet radio services are usually accessible from anywhere in the world—for example, one could listen to an Australian station from Europe or America. Internet radio remains popular among many listeners, including those that are often not adequately served by local radio stations, especially stations that may not reach all listeners. YLR’s Gospel Internet radio services offer Gospel news, Inspirational Word,  talk, and a variety of gospel music—the same music and more that is available on traditional gospel radio stations.
